hello..*cough, splutter, cough, cough*
It is Monday.
It is supposed to be new Incubus day.. but the postman clearly doesn't love me. *sniff*
Anyhooo...
I had an adventure on Saturgay.. I.. went... shopping... in Belfast...
*ping!*
Bad Idea!
Honestly, there should NOT be that many people in Belfast.. this is a miniscule country... where did they all crawl out from?
And it probably would have been fine, had half of the people not been wielding PRAMS. And you know what else bugs me? that most of the prams were EMPTY.
Why?!
Like, really.. what, woman, is possessing you to wander aimlessly around these narrows shops and streets with an oversized kid carrier? without a kid?
oh wait... is that him over there? yeah the one who has just dropped his drink? or how about that one, screaming that she has to have that Bratz™ doll?
And really, do you have to stand blocking one of the major aisles chatting to your friend who lives a few streets away?
As you may be able to tell.. I am rather embittered by my experience.. The day started well, had a good ole' 'chicken tikka and chilli cream cheese on a granary roll please' and it filled me up nicely. So I wasn't grumpy from hunger.. Got to the continental market.. couldn't find the churros.. *minor sadness* but then we hit the proper Belfast streets..
Topshop was ick.
River Island was even worse (it only has one floor so is way more pram-friendly)
Next was ok, once you got to the third floor (home dept.). We sat on the super-comfy display sofas for a while and I got some sexy black and white sheets...
So following this was way more having to stand for 5 mins trying to get past someone chatting to doreen from down the road. I mean.. ok.. if you want to chat that's fine.. but do it out of the way.. so that people like me, who just want in and out as quickly as possible (eey... pure mind now..) can do so..
But by the end of the day, I discovered that everything I needed to buy was much more available in a much less crowded place, much closer to home..
Bum.
So that's the bitterness over..
oh no wait..
I GOT SICK..
from shopping. yep. directly from the verb.
My throat was being all sore by the end of the day.. and now I'm all blocked up and scratchy throated and headachey..
Now I've finished being bitter..
Good monday anyone?
~Over and.. ow my throat.. =(

mmmyaaay...
I gots me my shi-.. well, it's pretty matt actually, new brand new album in the post today ^_^
it's nice so far.. I'm liking it. I'm liking it a lot..
so today's happenings-
*Nearly weirded out for the second time in English this week.. explanation will follow..
*Started painting the set for the play.. it was fun.. 7 people in a small room with no windows and 6 open tins of paint.. fumes ahoy? oh yes.. they were ahoy alright..
*well jesus christ I'm alone again, so what did you do those three days you were dead? cos this problem's gonna last more than the weekend.. did I mention the brand new brand new? did you notice I enjoy repetitive phrases?
*I learnt how to figure out how much of the world there is.
*I ran out of brownies =(
Being Weirded Out In English
So we're reading The Rape Of The Lock at the moment.. which was good enough for starters.. but then yesterday we got to this bit about the Cave of Spleen..yes that's right,
The Cave of SPLEEN [I quite like the word spleen. It sounds good]
So in this cave, people have crazy hallucinations and think they're things they're not, eg. a goose pie. which is fair enough as is the line, ' And maids turn'd bottles'... BUT THEN..
you read on..
and the full line turns out to be:
"And maids turn'd bottles, call aloud for corks.'
Which.. may sound fine to innocents.. but my English Teacher then confirms that, yes, it IS innuendo.. And what's more it is intended innuendo.. Pope knew what he was doing when he put that in there.. not like 'nosegay'..
Shocking.
But wait! There's more!
Today..
we got to the bit where her hair has been raped, and she's all sad and decides to say,
'Oh hadst thou, cruel! been content to seize
Hairs less in sight, or any hairs but these'
Now, you may just be thinking.. as I told myself she must have meant, that she was talking about other hairs on her head..
Oh no..
No,
She wasn't.
...
uh huh...
So I get easily weirded out when books are actually saying the things I was thinking humorously to myself..
And with that badly retold story...
~Over and cut off Cap'n..

blood red
just another number of songs, arranged one after the other with no skill for you to listen to, if you choose..
Songs, arranged one after the other with no skill:
Coheed- Blood red summer (acoustic)
Josh Burnside - Whatyouknewcouldnot..
TV on the radio -Wolf like me
Black Bud- Heartbeat
The spill canvas - Polygraph! right now
Tegan und Sara - This is everything
Cursive - Art is hard
Silverchair - Without you
Harry Nillson - one is the loneliest number
Katie Melua - Crawling up a hill
So this working week ended with my formal.. it was good, just not the fairytale experience the hype surrounding it would have suggested. Drinks were costly, thank god for the champagne in the limo.. a FIVER for malibu/vodka and coke was a bit too much for my poor kid self.. I am used to £2 a drink thank-you-very-much.. aaand the cheapest bottle of wine was £16 and tasted £3 tesco quality...
Speaking of wine.. I am drinking some mighty fine kangaroo point cabernet merlot.. you drink it chilled and I like.. I like very much..
!HIGH FIVE!
but yes.. highlight of my formal night must have been me dancing barefoot in mynt.. and when I say dancing I really mean mocking the music and its associated style of dancing (big fish, little fish, cardboard box anybody?)
hmm.. that is all I can think of typing right now..
~ Under and in sir..
p.s. As a result of said formal, I now know how to disguise myself beyond recognition.. I just have to put my hair up and a dress on and !bam! not even the people who sit beside my in my classes recognise me.. MI6 here I come..score..

*cracks a rib*

::breathe::
'Mista PieT'
apart from that..
another thing which has brightened my day:
having an inspector in English.. You've heard what goes on (well no, you probably haven't listened but..meh) in my English class.. trying to be 'serious' was hilarious. especially when the word...
..wait for it...
NOSEGAY
came up.
and with that.. I leave you.. nothing beats nosegay and JT in pastry terms..
~over and out your piehole..

Miserable Music in two parts..

yes so.. did everyone remember remember the 5th novemember, gunpowder, treason and plot?
i see no reason why it should be forgot but.. there might be a few out there who were preoccupied..
Here's the scientific part...*loreal grin*
So I've felt a bit sad recently.. so I did what all norm-.. what all music geeks do (I hope) and made a wee playlist. except it turned into a 40 song long playlist. And as I have nothing of interest to talk about yet was bored enough to tackle audacity I turned the 40 song playlist into two 20 song music-cast things. And due to my recent sad state, the songs all have a wee bit of a sad side to them..
So there we go...
*loreal hair flick*
listen*, because you're worth it..
Click here to get your own player.

*of course they're not actually up on podmatic yet..[podomatic doesn't like uploading one thing while audacity exports another] but they should be up in time for any lone wanderer who happens to be foolishly curious...
~Over and out, in, out, shake it all about... yeah! Now THAT's what it's all about!
