Yeah, you better shudder...
So I have been in Croatia for the past 10 days. I seem to have missed some major event in the kelkian universe.. well, more controversy than 'event' I guess. Update me? anyone? no? ok then.
Anyway, a few nights into my Croatian adventure, I was talking to my cousin in our room [it was a real sitcom talk, sitting on beds, laughing, saying OMG etc etc] when I looked at the wall, noticed something black and was like ''that's a big spider..... hang on, that's not a spider..SCORPION!!!!'' I then sort of jumped off the bed and got to the other side of the room.. whereupon my cousin just screamed "DAAAAAAAD! SCORPION!" for like 5 mins. [My uncle took a while to comprehend what was being shouted.."A..scorpion? what?"]
So that was ok. We slept with the light on. [Remember, our only knowledge of scorpions at this point was from
Ultimate Killers] Two nights later there were TWO scorpions on the wall. A mummy scorpion and a teenage scorpion.
We shouted for uncle again..
The next night, another young scorpion appeared but on a DIFFERENT wall.
The light stayed on once more.
And that was all the scorpion fun that was to be had.. Of course we then found out from Ivan that the scorpions are basically like spiders in frequency and not at all dangerous. He forgot to tell us that at the start.. *sigh*
Humm.. what else happened of interest?
oh yes.
I was attacked* by an em-effing SEA URCHIN *
more like stood on, but I maintain that it was a sea urchin with an agenda. You see, there is no sand in Croatia. It's rockity rock rock. So you get like sea shoe things.. with rubber soles to stop your little footsies from getting bruised on the rocks [which mine did on the first day]. However, they are
not urchinproof. I guess the took the worst of the spikes.. but I still got three of them in my foot [spikes that is, not shoes, I have no idea how that could anatomically work].
Hmm.. I also got kicked out of a church.
My shoulders were obviously too big a temptation to be allowed inside a holy establishment... *g*
I think that is all the remotely interesting stuff..
Right.
Apparently I have been 'tagged'.
I don't get what this 'tagged' thing is..
I won't do it properly.
So;
- We have to post these rules before we give you the facts.
- Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
- People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
- At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
- Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.[In no particular order]8= I
HATE inefficiency/stupid regulations.
I just get so pissed off, especially when there is an incredibly obvious resolution. Like airport security for example; it is a load of bollocks about the 'explosive being made with liquid components'. And what nobody seems to understand is that if someone really,
really wants to hijack a plane, they don't need anything except their bare hands. Small amounts of liquid are no more 'dangerous' than the hot coffee you get served on board, the razors you can buy airside or even your
shoelaces. This is turning into a rant. But it is proving that it annoys me. As for the inefficiency, queues and suchlike make me angry. Especially when there's an obvious, easy way to make it better.
7= I have unrealistic aspirations. I want to achieve things but I never put in the work.. Anything that I've done which is reasonably 'successful' is the product of luck/fluke.. and it scares me and makes me feel guilty.[On a similar theme, not different enough to be a different number] I do things like wish I could free run/le parkour. Which is just stupid. I do not have the physique for that. In short, I have no motivation and no power to do anything about it.
6= I think too much.
Like to the point of stupidity. I will obsess over small insignificant details as well as things of normal importance. I will go over things again and again in my head. Play out different situations/conversations/whatever. Sometimes I will even say something out loud or mouth words/ make facial expressions and then wonder if I
really just did that. And what it means if I did, and did anybody see? what if they did? what will they think? what excuse can I come up with? and it just escalates like that. I would quite like to invent a device which could track your thoughts. Just to see the path that mine take. Sometimes I think too big. Well, on too large a scale. And then my head goes all funny. Like if you think about how ifinitesimally small you are and how a spider is so much smaller and how we're in one universe, but that could be a small universe and what is our universe actually in? what happens when you go outside it? what colour is it? is there any noise?
Normally, I get to a point of thinking how amazingly
odd we are. Like for making cars and stuff and then I space out and have to snap out of it before I fall out of my chair.
5= I wish I had a soundtrack. Kinda like that episode of Family Guy, but with songs instead of musical scores. And not getting sick of it.
I get really into songs you see. And find myself empathising with the lyrics despite having never endured any similar kind of hardship...When I'm listening to songs I am normally thinking of what occasion they remind me of and so they sort of form a movie-style soundtrack in my head.. I quite often find a song and will obsess over it, playing it on repeat for about a week, and then forget about it afterwards.
4= I hate people. I don't understand why and how such shitty deeds are done in the world. And why people are so rude and obnoxious. And so cruel. People can be so utterly vile, sometimes I think it would be better if we just died out and let the planet stabilise. Animal cruelty makes me feel physically sick and very violent all at the same time. I don't know if it's okay to want to punish people who hurt animals for fun.. eye for an eye style. I am supposed to be a 'higher being' and above that sort of thing. But i'm not. I'm a massive hypocrite. I am every bit as inherently scummy as the rest of the human race.
3= I like rain. I get homesick for rain whenever I'm in a dry country for too long. Seriously. I like big fat rain drops. And I like to stand outside when it's raining, with my eyes closed and my palms facing upwards.. to see if I can feel each raindrop. It's a nice state for me to be in.. Makes me remember how awesome everything is..
2= I like to argue/persuade. Having a full scale argument with someone and being able to go back to normal afterwards is especially nice. I like trying to change someone's point of view, asking questions, pointing things out etc.. Sometimes I wonder if I could ever manipulate someone in a conversation.. but then I get scared and think that's a bit mental..
1= Despite no.4, one of my favourite things to do is to sit in a cafe/bar and watch people. Not in a psychotic voyeuristic way or anything.. Like seeing how people interact and then wondering what their stories are.. I like to make up stories...

Hmm.. That wasn't what I was meant to do. And I'm not gonna tag 8 people. Mostly because 8 people don't even read my blog and I don't really know 8 people well enough to tag them. And I'm not sure of the specifics of tagging. Can you tag a tagged?
bah.
I have typed for too long and now I'm cold. I've gone from a 30+ degrees climate to 13..
