Summer......

I love this^ little guy... I may have posted him before but..
Come on!
Look at his little convies!

So apparently it's summer.
*looks outside*
Apparently.
*glare*

Why is it I'm always in the house by myself when it's murdering weather? stormy nights and so on?
hmm?
well..?
meh..

At least I have no more school. Ever.
No more school uniform! ...well... maybe on special occasions.. ^_~
No more 'sir' and 'miss'.. although.. yeah I'll probably still have to do that..

But now I am a free of sorts..
what will I do with my time?
I think I might spend it figuring out how things work.. Like cars' engines. Or skype. Although Skype would take me all summer. With it's crazy noises and buttons. I have a lot of time I guess.. Oh and html.
And I want to paint some walls.
And visit lots of places.
And go driving.
Maybe visit places whilst driving..? hmm...

Oh McDonalds.... how innocent you are... "you can now get milk, fruit and carrot sticks in Shrek-themed bags, to help make them fun for your little ones"
"OMG shrek bags! I used to think hydrogen peroxide covered carrot sticks were boring.. but man! these shrek-bags make them a laugh a minute!"
As if...

The internet is boring me...
WHY does this happen?
When I had exams the internet was interesting.. and I couldn't concentrate on anything..
But now I want something to revise!

SIGH............

Life ..*rolls eyes*

Somebody give me some scandal!
Some chat!
Something!
[but not crabs....]

gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

I'msososososobored.

bah.

I'm off to interent surf in vain...

Ilikerain

Thunder!
More thunder!
Lots of thunder!

and now,

RAIN!!

I love rain when it's warm.. And it's proper wet rain... I know I've said this before but it's been so ickily hot recently that I am very happy indeed that it's raining big drops..

And everything looks so amazing when it's raining.. like all the colours come out far better..

Exhibit A:

Exhibit B

Mm.. rain..
I don't even know if those pictures prove anything.. it may just be the light here..

Eeearrrk! I should be revising particle physics!
And I've been distracted by builders and lunch and thunderrain..
hmph.
A-levels... bah.

I went to London recently.. It was faaantaastic. Getting there wasn't though, flybe don't like me leaving the country.. =(
made me 4 hours late =(( I think I caught up the time though.
After I got over my excitement about the hotel.. it was awesome..
The lifts were pure sex.. Maybe that's just my if-it's-black-i-like-it instinct.. but they were black inside with darkened mirrors and starlights in the floor! I liked those lifts.. even though I was only in them 6 times.. but they were a good 6times..
It was a sweet hotel.. apart from the plumbing issues.. although that was my own fault for spending too long in the shower..
I saw some english girl while I was there. Shocking I know, an english girl in england.. We discovered that countdown is on tv somewhere between 2 and 3 in the morning..
Good to know.

Rar.
Yes I really must go and stare blankly at my physics notes.

Capacitance

hehe.. E-MO!

bah.. i did a resit today. physics. module 4. it was balls.
i don't know why i can't seem to use my brain in exams anymore.
it's proving to be quite a problem.
ah well.

hmm. do things ever happen that are just so strange and surreal?
diego dog just walked in with a piece of hose pipe.
Hose pipe.
like, wtf?
where did he find a piece of hose pipe?!

It's like the times where i would be sitting at the computer, look round and there would be a chicken standing there, staring at me. WHY?
Of course all the chickens then got snarfled by a fox but.. anyway.

oh and another thing..
Apart from northern ireland, are there any other places where random religious signs appear? lately there have been these little signs appearing on telegraph poles around the place.
"Where will YOU spend eternity?'
I quite like that one. It isn't overly religious. Quite deep and philosophical.
And of course there's the jesus rock. Like this big ass boulder that someone painted white and wrote 'jesus is the rock of salvation' in red paint on.. but that's been about for years.
After it was painted as a christmass pudding.

hehe. crazy country!

Bah. Big brother is gonna suuuuuuuck. I can tell.
I really should have revised physics instead of watching it.
uuurgh. gonna have to actually work so hard for m5&6.
baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

I wonder what will be on jerry springer today. i will return to update if it's good..
bah at barbados and its coastal erosion too.

Wrath of the Transsexuals

Hehe.. that's the title on Jerry Springer today.
It's gonna be a good one.. I can tell..
Oh they're chanting "YOU ARE GAY" now. Charming
He could be a dirty bisexual you know. Pfft.

Onto happier things:

The Locker of Dreams

I love tayto crisps.. I will miss them next year. I like that you can buy them in multipacks from the airport. (^_^)
And mm.. their onion rings...
But nothing beats the cheese and onion..

Did you know that Blogger now saves your drafts automatically! ?
I didn't.. but this little bubble alert thing sure is telling me.

Hm. Jerry Springer is weird. It keeps descending into a transsexual chasing the bouncers around.

so yesterday the sky was really cool. I don't think this photo captures the crazy light and such... But basically the sky was really grey and there was the strange light which still highlights all the different shades of green.
I love it when it's like that.
It makes me feel at home, because you don't get it anywhere else. And when it happens I just want to stand and stare at it for aaaages.

It's the 26th tomorrow. I don't like the 26th May.
Purely because I am a selfish being.
Someone is going to Barbados on that day.
Which is simultaneously awesome and =(
Barbados is far away.. kinda.
Someone had better live out those Malibu ads... you know with the bus and the donkey.
And be relaxed and chilled at realise they aren't gonna work in a shop instead of going to university.
And I bet something.
Wanna know what?

I bet that there would be an Irish pub in Barbados..
Someone laughed at me and said there is no way that there would be an Irish pub in Barbados.

Google, I luff thee:
Mc Brides Pub and Cookhouse – To be found at St Lawrence Gap on the south coast. Genuine Irish pub/restaurant hosting live Irish music for the nightly hooley mixed with limbo dancing.
Lord Willoughby’s Tavern
Bagatelle Great House, St. Thomas Parish, Barbados - open 24 hours a day too!

*does a little dance*

I love it when I'm right ^_^

Oo.. Ray Mears' bushcraft!
He's in a canyon.
I should so not be allowed to procrastinate.

Um yes. I don't really have anything else to say...

Except that pens are very useful. I think I will write with one.

Ev'nin'.

This is basically to inform anyone who is interested that there is an audiofile of sheer shite available:

I got my yearbook today. It turns out that 'A wee doughnut' will not go down in the books.. =(
I really have nothing to say...
I think I will edit at a later date.

[That edit I promised]

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Do you know what today [monday 21st may] is?
no?
Good because if you knew it was the eve of the start of my exams [aka. definitive failure] I would be a tad creeped out.
Which would not be all that great because I'm already a little bit freaked out about the whole failing thing:
Creeped + freaked = Strung out me

Ok so... Who's watching Kingdom?
Because Stephen Fry is quite clearly amaaaaaaazing. And so people should automatically watch anything including his presence.
It's true.
Speaking of which, QIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!
I might be going to see it.. I will be going to Landan anyway, which will be faaantaastic.
Right after one of my physics exams too.
Which brings me right back to:
AAAAAAAGGGGGH...
English Lit + Physics practical = OH DEAR

Hmm.. ::calm::
I'm not going to fail.. I might not do as well as I need to.. but I won't fail as such...
Hang on.. not doing as well as I need is failing isn't it?
Oh well.
My best is all I can do and whatnot.
Although I think that's a fallacy too.. Like what if I don't do my best? and I don't get into uni and am forced to become a bum..

Damn Law.
::/overly-panicky-ramble::

I should clearly stop know and read about Drift Velocity.
Because it's important folks.

Last. Monday. Ever.

Ok ok.. so the title might have given you excitement that I was going to do away with myself and you wouldn't have to deal with this anymore, but alas no, I meant my last Monday in school EVER.. No, really, EVER.
I'm not old enough... It hasn't sunk in... I don't know anything! I am not educated!
And I still haven't done my Art...

I'm chuckling, but I should be crying...

I should, perhaps, podcast soon.. As I will have things to talk about in a mumbley manner.. Like AEROBICS! Jeez, that was fun..
*looks at photies on bebo and forgets where I am with this*

...Yeas...

Don't you hate it when you really feel like having some cake*, only there is no cake in the vicinity? Which really sucks because you would quite love to have some cake? Even though that cake isn't battenburg and doesn't really go so well with your music? I hate it. That's fo' sho'.

It's Pimms o'clock! I like it being warm outside... That means it's always pimms o'clock..

Ok, so my Art book is guilt tripping me, and begging me to write about how a sense of drama is created, so I feel I should pay it some attention...

~Over and out of education

* 'cake' is being used as a euphemism in this case.. Although having no cake can be just as annoying.. Hm.

[EDIT]
so I casted my pod a little bit.. it sucks but anyway..

because it's my duty to post gory car thingys every six months... ^_^;

While I was at it I found this:

It's very odd... and a TERRIBLE accent. *cringe*

I don't like it.

Eek^2

Mello...

^ That piece of crap in progress.. is my art exam.. bum.
2 hours down, 10 to go...

Have I ever said how awesome my art teacher is? I would have failed by now if it wasnt for her.. And I feel really bad because apparently she's been worried about me... I've 'never been this vacant before'..
Vacant is a nice word..
Hmm...

She's perfect in her own way..... Smoke rings rising to the winter grey...
She's amazing in her own way.. Laughing, you won't get to her weaker traits..

Aah j.e.w .. I'm reliving some of my old music at the moment... good times, good times..
There's also some pretty nifty new music on my ipod that I like closing my eyes and listening to.. it's nice. in a goffic way. I think. I don't really get the 'goth' genre within music.... like clothing and attitude yes.. hmm....
Apologies to those gofficks out there..

Old skool AVRIL!!!!! T IN THE FREAKING PARK!

*I did not just go on a half-hour youtube spree.... oh... wait... yes I did... ^_^; *

Yep, I got to Duke Special somehow... I like him, he is hobo chic.. =)

Ahem.. I should go and do something remotely art exam related.. I'm told I need to 'think backgrounds'

......

I'm on my feet, I'm on the floor, I'm good to go....

Freewheel..

Good non-specified-time,
I really have to remember about this little place.. I think I need someone with a big stick standing over me constantly actually.
Like, it's Easter, so a holiday from school without being a holiday.. As everyone piles the work on as "hey, you'll have loads of time to do it"
NO I do not have all the time to do it... Well okay, I do, but I tend to just sit here doing nothing instead.
Motivation? Anybody? Can someone spare me a dime?
exxaaaaaaactly.

Ho hum..
Dr who is on... Sugar is in it! and she's being somewhat nice..
Mwah ha ha!! giant crabs! awesome...

So this week, whilst not doing any work, i went to portsmouth.. it was faaantastic.. well not so much portsmouth itself as the person i was visiting... i miss making innuendo out of innocence.. and i quite miss that english girl as well.. Hmm..
Question for Cat, if she still reads; when you're in a restaurant or something, do you feel a little uneasy if you're not near a wall? or is it just my craziness? la de da... *tries to dance out of question that will make apparent my weirdness*

Eek... I havne't done enough Art, or any Maths. And Physics hasn't even featured on my mind... oh well..
I've watched dr who and joseph school malarky. that's what counts.. right? no... clearly not..

PORN <- engishface told me to write that... i'm on the phone to her right now. She's being EMO.
I'm trying to convince her to get a blogger account. meh heh heh.... I think I may have succeeded..

Hmm. holidays are mostly over... they were mostly unproductive, but 3 days of them were awesome..

gah i'm going to shup nw before i go off on a tangent that no one really cares to read about...

over and out, innit..

Neglect

I'm sorry Bloggy...
I have neglected you..
I know this..
And I'm sorry..

So I voted today ^^
Not that it will actually make a difference ever. I voted greeeeeeeeeeeen...
And I don't think anyone really cares who I voted for so I won't continue the list.
Here is where I would normally get all angry about politics. However I watched a spotlight special last night where they had people from the 4 main parties answering questions, and I feel that the TV absorbed most of my anger.

Mmm... I should really be doing English coursework....
I hate the fact that I can't sit down and work.. Everybody else can do it...

Oo.. I have a new voice... sort of...

[edit to remove player]

And I can breathe! sort of....

I just got me some chocolate milk.... I love that stuff..

Anyway...

How's life?
Exams are getting ever closer.. and I'm starting to get stressed... but this stress is not causing any action.. This links in with my coursework point. I have something stupid like 7 weeks of school left. EVER.
That's weird.

I wacthed Loose Women for the first time the other day. It was INSANE. Like, actually.
Although I did laugh when they used the term "carpet muncher".
Watching it made me nervous.. I think I'm just too cynical about "media". Like, I felt that it was all very... planned... or something..
And the boss one's hair freaked me out.

The puppy dog is HUGE now. He likes my shoes. It frustrates me.. He'll appear with one of my vans in his mouth, looking quite pleased with himself. I'll grab the shoe and tell him to stop being annoying.
2 minutes later, he appears with the other shoe looking very pleased with himself indeed.
He also likes toast.

I am trying to think of interesting things to tell you..
Oo.. the picture that should be at the top of this.. is of a poster in my Maths room. It was made one friday afternoon before open day.. so ages ago.. but it's still up, pride of place. I love that it's displayed..
I guess I would have to explain that in my Maths class there is an anti-surd movement. This covers fractions and constants as well. We argue about it every time it comes up, saying it's pointless and silly.. Physics is much better.. gives proper answers.

I am all out of ideas.
Sorry.

I'm going to finish my chocolate milk now..

So in school today we hear news of a guy in 4th year who has been suspended for.... wait for it.....

making a death threat to president bush on the fbi website whilst on school computers.

What a great reason to get suspended..
So that was my day.

Yeeasss...
Tonight we are making a great equation,

requiem for a dream

good times.

There was/is no point to this post.. I just felt I should make one..

Blame Kateface

[edit: removed embedded player]

Have you seen her stick?
It's really big. Really big.
The volume is fucked. but i guess that means you can listen to the music extra loud ^_^

I still have a cold. Yes, it is the same one from months ago. We have an intimate relationship, ok?
I do talk. But only because of the big stick.
And i talk shite, so don't listen..

Thank you

Mmm Shins..

I have intentions for this to be a long post. However, the probability of that being so is kinda low..
So we'll see..

Anyway, the picture. We were waiting for a friend to get out of French, so as we walked towards the classroom, I saw this and had to stop. I don't understand what the hell is going on (I don't speak German) but it made me laugh (probably because I don't understand what is going on) and feel happy that the universe has been good to me this week. Apart from my immune system, but it never listens anyway.

This week has been pretty nice so far.. I'll give you a wee rundown..

Monday
-"You're all looking pret-ty fine this morning" - Head of Sixth Form
-"I don't wanna be standing here like Rosey No-mates" - Vice Principal
-Maryland cookies in Physics
-Battered sausage supper for lunch (real fooooood!)
-Got my Lnat results.. I got 23 out of 30, which doesn't seem to be too bad. Nice.

Tuesday
-"You have to be aware that people may try to take advantage of you" -Headmaster during assembly for 4th +5th form.
-Wasted an hour trying to find somewhere that could print off a picture within the school grounds.
-My maths teacher wrote 'sex' on the board and didn't notice.
A note was passed that read "She wrote SEX on the board!" I replied "Oh, didn't you know? differentiation is all the rage these days.. long winter nights and all..."
-We then rewrote 'Industry' by The Modern to be mathematical. "You can be my indice...."
This may seem sad.. and it is. But there isn't much for us to do in school. We certainy aren't going to integrate trig functions.
English was fawesome! We got coffee and m&s shortbread biscuits (half dipped in chocolate- oh yeah... you know that's good) and we read some more of the play. The play is supposed to be a tragedy. We find bits of it hilarious. I love the part I'm reading.. aaand I managed to deliver a line with such prefect sleaze that everyone burst out laughing (this is quite a feat for me) and I even got my teacher to laugh properly (she normally rises above such things).
- Watched ep4 of the L Word. I luffed it. With both ear lobes.
-We went out for a Chinese. We made it our challenge to finish the bottle of Southern Comfort that they had to bring out of the storeroom for us. Although I couldn't actually participate because I was the mofo in charge of driving, but them being drunk makes me feel drunk and some ace conversation was had (far too innuendo-ish for the eyes of an innocent bystander)
I didn't get to see the female sumo wrestlers programme, which was disappointing. I have also missed America's Next Top Model s7. Tyraaaaaaaaa! but anyway.

Wednesday
- It's half day Wednesday. What's not cool about that?
- "You are at a time in your life where you are going through a lot of changes, physical changes" - Headmaster, during assembly to 2nd and 3rd form.
- Sex was still on the board in Maths.
-Talked about my essay writing skills (or lack thereof) in English, I have to stop faffing around apparently. 'Faffing' is a technical term. If a teacher uses it, it must be proper.
- Played Experimented with slinky springs in Physics. We were investigating magnetic fields.. and then the effect of combination of slinky springs and stairs. Scientific stuff.
- Went to Virgin Megastores (what a great name, I wonder if foreigners ever get confused) to get our See-Ess-Ess tickets.. and we did.. and it will be the sex.
- Got a ben and jerry's hot fudge sundae (with hot caramel). So much sugar.. *twitch*
- My Shins' album was waiting for me in Mr. Postbox.

And that is as far as the week has gone.
Tomorrow is my school's open night. I automatically get to show people round.. This would probably be fun.. who doesn't get a little excited about running around school after hours? except that it goes on from 5.30 - 9.30. That's too long.. I can't talk to parents for 4 hours.. They'll ask me questions and I won't know answers..
erk.

Ah look.. I'm all out of steam.. And I was gonna evaluate myself and bore you all to death. ho hum.

Better luck next time?

Hearing
Wincing the Night Away - The Shins [Spilt Needles has taken my fancy so far]
The Dream of Evan and Chan - The Postal Service
Helicopter - Bloc Party
Scissor Paper Rock -Architecture In Helsinki
Delirium Trigger - Coheed
Saturday Remix - Rachael Cantu
Boys Wanna Be Her - Peaches

hullo.
I am hell.
Also; I think I am a lot more Northern Irish than I realise.. Everytime I go to England I get surprised by how strange the people I meet are. Example; in an Italian restaurant, girl at the table next to us doesn't know what a 'cal-zone' is.. which I guess I can forgive, maybe not all pizza joints in England are as extensive as Guiseppe's.. but then, she goes on to wonder if she can order a chicken caesar salad without the chicken..
...am I missing something?
maybe I never bump into the right people..
Anyhoo.. another thing I have noticed, which I may have mentioned sometime before, is that when most people try to make their voice louder, they make it higher and with more volume.. I tend to make mine lower.. which does not help at all..
*chuckle* Diego just ran into a door..
Oooo, you know what something really pretty is? The sunset, but seen from a plane above the clouds.. it goes on forever..
When I was little, I used to think that if I could just open the plane door I could run about on the clouds.. and it would be like a little world that was all mine..
I still really wish you could walk on clouds.. and jump around on them and lie on them and.. yeah.. somebody give me my cloud world!
Hmm I am going to go and make a new CD for myself..

This post sucks.

I am sorry.

dem bones..

I've decided that photos are a fantastic way to waste some screenspace. So I intend to use quite a few in this post ^_^
That is.. if photobucket will upload them, so I can rotate and shiz..

Anyway. It is Sunday. But there isn't really that much sun. And it is rather nippy out. These environmental factors combined with my immune system (crappy as it is) giving up completely after my exam stress adrenaline ran out.. does not bode well for me..
Symptoms
1) Three mouth ulcers. Three.
2) Head feels like it's in a vice. A vice with jagged jaws.
3) All available sinuses are blocked and sore.
4) Stomach is being picky about the food I put in him- will return anything unsatisfactory.
5) Lung and general chest area are investigating reverb through the medium of coughing.
6) I keep rubbing around my eyes, it was suggested that this may be something to do with #3 and me subconsciously wanting to rub my sinuses to oblivion.. or somewhere similar..

So to cheer myself up, I watched ep1 and 3 of Dirt as well as rewatching ep1 and 2 of Darkplace. If you are wondering why I skipped ep2 of Dirt (which you might be...) it's basically because Paradroid said that there was a gay drug dealer in ep 3, and, y'know, I'm a sucker for gay characters.. most of the time. There seem to be quite a lot in Dirt. By quite a lot I mean 2 or 3(that I noticed). And I thought I might get confused if I didn't watch the first ep to find out what the deal was..It was odd seeing Courtney Cox not being Monica.. but I think she sorta pulled it off.. And also Shannyn Sossamon with long hair.. Anyway, the drug dealer was classy.. I liked the way she said 'shit', 'really...?' and 'narc'. (I'm also a sucker for voices: see Moennig, Katherine)
And Darkplace made me giggle.. There's something about intentionally bad dubbing and flying staplers..
I should really buy the dvd...
"I'll kick your ass so hard you'll be able to build a pool in the foot print"

"A dark door had been opened and it would be hard to close because it was abstract and there weren't any handles."

Ah so today.. I did some art.. If you can call it that.. That is what the pictures are of.. Sometimes I think it would be nice if I drew happy things, like puppies and flowers. I even have a puppy. And yet they wouldn't be as interesting to me as the demented stuff that I do actually come out with. Is that just me?
I guess drawing/painting half-crazed things gives me an excuse for it to be crap..
Picture Ingredients
Acrylic paint
Food colouring
Drawing ink
Mud
Ribs
Brambles
Charcoal
Red thread.

I could say what it's supposed to resemble.. but that would spoil the fun..
Mm.. I just washed my hands... they don't look as if they belong to a murderer anymore..

Hmm... I feel like I'm writing differently.. maybe it's because I'm hungry..

I may just stop now.. As I doubt I'm getting anywhere... I always forget what I was actually going to write about.. Bummer.

~Over and *stomach rumble*

[schmedit]
So today in assembly, the maths department did a presentation.. It was to do with golden ratios (I heard golden showers) and phi and fibonacci sequences et cetera..Which was all fine and good.. until the last slide in the powerpoint came up with the title 'God, the master creator'. I was probably the only person in the hall to stifle laughter and be like, 'whaaat?'
I found it strange.. and as if the maths department had hurredly gone, 'shit!' god!' and just put that slide on at the end.. as if to round it off with a good old 'God did it.'
Anyway, did you know that credit cards and four-fingered kit kats are in the golden ratio?

I wish all Monday mornings amused me so..

Sharp Darts

Diego appears to be sleeping....

But oh no he's not!
He's trying to steal my pen, and get awway with it!

Once aprehended, he huffs..
He didn't want the stupid pen anyway.

Instead, he accosts a sock.
Poor sock.

So puppy has realised he has teeth. And that teeth can bite things quite well..
I came home after my mechanics exam to see my headset on the floor.. strange... the cable doesn't usually stretch that far..
*picks up headset*
Oh. Shit.
Two well chewed ends of wire...
yummy.
I am not very confident in my wiring abilities... so amazon got a booty call.. ^_^
No more playing with vocal settings on garageband for me.. =(

Yargh.

I have my English resit tomorrow.. I have to write 2 essays in 2 hours. This troubles me. I am more of a 'ponder for a few days before writing' kinda gal. Y'know, do some research, talk about it a bit.. then sit down and apply it all.. And what bothers me more, is that I know the play and the poetry that is going to be on the exam.. and I could probably talk about it for an hour. I just can't write about it in the right way. Grrski. And I do kinda really need to pull my marks up... =(
Stupid A-levels.

Maybe if I had to write a random, rambling blog entry which doesn't attract attention.... I'd be a top English student...
Damn the luck..

~Over and essayed out...

Meet Diego/Digby..

Everyone, (probably Cat) this is Diego/Digby...
He is cute.
He is a puppy.
He is cute.
He chews things.
He is cute.
He sleeps sometimes.
He is cute.
He tries to play with my other dog who is ten times bigger than him.
He is cute.
His nose is very small.
He is cute.
He can wag his tail really fast.

I love baby animals.. they're just so cute.. you can never stay angry at them..

Ahem, anyway....
I will be back to beef this out later..

~Over til later..

Computing by candlight..

So romant-....not..

Ahem.. So my lights are off..
Not my electricity as such.. just my lights. Although the 'tricity was off earlier..
Damn weather..
Being all strong and powerful..
Anyway..
Just to prove that I am in fact, using the computer by candlelight.. I took a picture.
It's very surreal.. Technology and well.. not so technology side by side..
And just because I was bored, I labelled bits of the bombsite that is my desk area.. Extra points for recognising unlabelled items!!

Did I mention all the stuff going on with my house yet? Ah well, I'll say it again..
My house.
Is old.
Some bits are older than others.
My house is a hybrid of centuries.
Sometimes I think it's alive.
'Cos it makes noises.
That sound like murderers in the night-time.
Yeah.

So we notice some water coming in the window.. but not through the window, like above it.. as if it's coming through the concrete (crumbs!).
::ring ring:: 'Hello Mr. Builder?' 'Would you like te come and look at me windies?''Grand'**
So Mr. Builder comes and has a look at the windows (and the shed roof which is sorta.. frisky..).
He says there's a little bit of a gap between the window and the wall, hence the water making a break for the comfort of my home.
He comes round the next day and takes off the bits of wood/plastic around the window and what do you know? there's about an inch of nothingness! and at the sides there's a couple of mm gap.. with big holes between the inner and outer walls where the lead weights used to be..
so that's why I freeze my ass off all the time.

Anyway, that was all just boring background.. I woke up today to the sound of hammers and saws and things.. and I come downstairs.. and they're bashing stuff, and destroying it and..
I can't join in =(
because I have revision to do..
And later they move outside and take rooves off and knock pillars down and.. and...
*puppy eyes*
I wanted to..

Stupid Physics.
With its, "Oh I know what will really confuse the fuck out of you, CHEMISTRY!"
Had I wanted to ever see the words 'ionic lattice' again, I would have done Chem.. not Physics.. So don't put it in my exam and then proceed to ask about the SHM it executes, whilst also telling me about it's spring constant.. I mean, WTF?
There are no springs in ionic lattices..

Grr.

At least it's the weekend.. and that brings English and Maths revision.. grrrrrrreeeeat...not....

Oh dude!
Fire is fawesome!
Get a candle.. and something plastic.. and hold the something plastic above the candle.. It's like this invisible force is crushing and tearing it.. I'd forgotten how fun it is.. mmm fumes...

Call this revision?

^ I do..
heyyyyyy....
balloons!

I should be revising. Physics. Or doing some English essays.. But I'm not "in the zone". I think I have yet to experience this "zone" but when that time comes, I will revise..Honest.

I did write out all of my Module 4 Physics notes last night though. And you know what? I love diagrams.. I love doing them all neatly and shading bits in and labelling them.. and they help me understand things so much better, eg. I now understand the graphical treatment of SHM.. [that sounds so awesomely like a sort of sexually deviant disease.. ^^,]
And I also love stupid diagrams as well.. like drawing a diagram of how something works/happens in layman's terms. Like, I dunno, a diagram of someone's FACE, yo.
Lists also kick ass too.. It's like, I'm totally unprepared for these exams, but if I make a list about it, then it's totally ok. I have a big list of things I need to revise and it doesn't matter that I haven't been able to tick one off [eyyyyy is anyone else getting my subconcious' innuendoes?] yet because I have a list.. I know that makes no sense.. Neither do I, so we're good. Good?

Do you know what a pretty great game to play is? Mr. Painfree.
Have you ever played it? You should, especially if you enjoy running with your imagination. You will need someone else to play it with. And a piece of paper. And a pen. If you want to be clever, two different coloured pens. If you want to be sophisticated, an assortment of writing implements.
You start off by drawing a stickman in the middle of a page. He has to be wearing a hat. Any kind of hat, but a hat.
This is Mr. Painfree.
One of you has to try and kill him.
The other has to thwart the assassination attempts.
How is this done?
Well.
The person trying to kill Mr. Painfree, draws something on the page like a missile.
Then the person saving Mr. Painfree either draws something to stop the missile, or changes the original drawing to something non-fatal..
It is a lot simpler and more fun than it sounds, you can get really wacky with it..
Here is an example:

Technically, you are not supposed to be able to draw anything on Mr. Painfree, but that went out the window in this^ game.
Anyway, play it sometime.

Hmm.. my mum just came home with two bags full of dresses for me.. which is great.. except I don't really suit dresses.. but I will save that for some other time..

It's Wednesday, it's all downhill from here.. So enjoy it ^^,

So yeah...

mmm... Monday Monday Monday...
Mundane!

First day back at school today.. eek.
I am not used to being awake when it's still dark.. And I can't pay attention to anything until about lunch time..
However, one thing I learnt today was the purpose of a button on my calculator..
In Physics, we were suddenly told about the ENG button.. Which makes life soooo much easier when you're playing about with things that are x10^n. Why didn't they tell us about this button before?! Y'know when everyone was really confused about the subject years ago?
...
Yeah.. I'm talking about a calculator button, I'm that cool...

So anyway, it's about 8pm, feels like it should be 11. Grr. School is messin' with my internal timing.
We watched the Age of Innocence again in English... After a minute, we remembered why we didn't watch it in the first place.. So my friends and I resumed our watching-it-with-murder-conspiracy-in-mind attitude to make it go by quicker. It didn't work. But it was still fun to say things like "I will murder you" in stage whispers after the character spoke.. They all talk like psychopaths.. and whenever anybody cuts a cigar, the music goes all murder plot like.

Mm.. I need a life..

Maybe posting a picture will help =)

I may be in that photo.. or I may be the one taking it.. you decide..

You know what is really annoying? Whenever I'm not trying to type stuff on this blog, I think of things that would be ok to type.. but then I forget them and this whole thing ends up sucking and being random. =(

I might just stop. And start to write things down. Obsessively.

Aaaah.. Art tomorrow.. That means I have to bring my work in, you know.. the work I haven't done.. apart from those two canvases which my teacher will dislike. Maybe I can distract her with Cam talk.. yeeeeeaaaaasss....

~Oh-ver and ow-t

Can you feel your heartbeat racing? Can you taste the fear in her sweat? You've done this wrong.. It's too far gone..These sheets tell of regret.. I admit that I'm just a fool for you... I am just a fool for you..
..Here is where we both go wrong..

[ed] p.s-
Guess what? Thanks to the doctor.. I get to do something called the Salt Water Sniffs... I wish I could video my first attempt at it..

G'Afternoon..

bonjour...
eeek...
[moan]I'm an adult... I don't like it..
And Christmas holidays are nearly over..well technically I suppose they are over, seeing as it's the weekend now.. but anyway.
I still haven't done any revision.. but now it's sort of important.. You see, now I have fooled some smart people into offering me a place, but they, being smart people, have specified which subjects I have to get As in. One of them is English =(
I SUCK at English exams.. really. I do.
Why is something good never straightforward?
[/moan]

So anyhoo.. have I ever mentioned how much I heart thumbholes? I have some in the hoody I am wearing right now and they're great.
They keep the main part of my hands warm while I type.
If I'm cooking, I don't need a teatowel to lift up a pan.
I can pretend I have mini-boxing gloves on..
They make me feel more snuggled.
If you don't put your thumbs through them, they are little windows for your watch.

That's all I can think of right now about thumbholes..

mmm here's a question... If I were to go somewhere this summer, should I go to Canada or mainland Europe?

aand now I'm being told I have to go and sort various horses out.. they are funny things.

^You may have to turn your head sideways, I'm not sure quite how blogger is gonna roll with the orientation of this photo.. Mind you, it will probably look better the wrong way round. Hum.

Things I have learnt today:
Food colouring could probably be an alternative to tattoo ink/ clothes dye.
PVA glue being on the floor is never a good idea.
Trying to avoid walking on a certain part of your shoe is difficult.
Throwing food colouring is mega-über-fun..
Trying to define shapes without wrecking their qualities is tricky business.
The price of a North America Rail Pass is $1054.
The time it takes to get from Toronto to Vancouver by train is 3 days, 2 hours and some minutes.
The UK tax me £94 pounds to get a long haul flight.
Canada taxes me... 43p.
The idea that exercising when you have funky lungs will help clear them is not true. It will make you fall over in a spluttering heap.
Skype has a wider vocal range than I do.

Shiiiny..

"So this is the new year.. and I don't feel any different.."

Eeeek!
It's 2007! that sounds awfully old.. 2006 sounded kinda young, funky and friendly.. 2007 sounds scary..
Perhaps that's because I will actually have to grow up during the course of it, I'm not really sure..
But at least the French agreed with me and tried to say "Non" to 2007..

So what did I do last night? Why I watched Withnail & I and got a tad tipsy... I love Withnail & I. R.E. Grant is superb.. and I really love his coat. I would perhaps even say I heart it..

Here are some quotes, they probably won't be as funny out of context but oh well..:
"I don't advise a haircut, man. All hairdressers are in the employment of the government. Hairs are your aerials. They pick up signals from the cosmos, and transmit them directly into the brain. This is the reason bald-headed men are uptight"
"I have a heart condition. If you hit me, it's murder."
" Look at that. "Accident Blackspot"? These aren't accidents. They're throwing themselves into the road gladly. Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness."
"I must say, that represents a level of hypocrisy in you that I'd previously suspected, but not noticed due to your highly evasive skills."

Mm.. that's taken up a good wee bit of space..

So yes, New Year's eve/ morning was not what I expected due to a few things... Mostly, the weather.
There's something about watching a heavy roof being lifted up by moving air that makes me not want to go out. Especially when one of your car's headlights decides to go on holiday. Aaand when going out in any direction means encountering either numerous trees, or waves. (I'm paranoid about trees falling on me and waves crashing on your car's windscreen aint too great for the visibility)
Next year, somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere methinks.. or at least somewhere warm with no wind gale chill.

As for resolutions, I don't have any. Well I do, but they're not new and so don't really count..

I will soon be an adult. I still look like a 15yo. This does not equate well.. I wish I had style. You know, movie style. Where you can wear anything and still look fantastic.
I will be able to vote. but for who? I don't like NI's politicians. Can I just pick some people that I like instead?

I have exams soon. Like 11 days soon. This worries me a great deal. However, I have done NOTHING about it. Why is this?
Will being an adult make me more able to motivate myself and actually do things, instead of just hiding behind a cushion until they go away?

This is all I can think of blabbering about right now.. Will bebacksoon..

Over and oot..

[Reset]

So...
Guess what I did today..
I reset myself..

I was washing a few dishes in the local coffee shop.. and I.. fainted/collapsed/fell over..
it was nice.
Until I woke up..
Then it was embarrassing.

But the little bit of time where I was unconscious was great.. I was having a right wee time in my little musical land.. It was all comfy and warm and everything was in song and made sense.. and it felt like it had been going on forever..
Is it normal for your sense of time to go completely out the window? When I came to it was all freaky.. like I had no idea of how long I'd been away flying in fairyland for and the last thing I remember was drying a frying pan.. (yes I woke up still wearing pink marigolds.. SCHEEXAAAY..)
so yes.
That is my experience for the day..

In other news, due to me being forced to lie in bed all day, I have started to re-read Eragon and I have come to the conclusion (yet again) that I would quite like a dragon.
So if anyone feels like getting me one.. please do.
I would settle for a Northern Lights style Daemon, as long as it kept its shape changing ability..

And I also watched so many films it's insane.. Sinbad the sailor (I think), Nightmare before Christmas, Twins, Gremlins.. don't you love Xmas TV??

God rest ye merry gentleguys..

*tips hat*

Hullo...
*cough cough*
guess what that means?
Yep, I've got a cough. Well a cough combined with killer throat and annoying nose and pressured sinuses..
and this is like what, the first day I'm off for Christmess? Indeed it is..

This is what I get for going to Church... I'll tell the boring story, it's quick.
So sitting in assembly and teacher comes up and asks if anyone isn't in the choir, which of course I'm not.. We get the job of ushering the Carol Service.. I figure it'll be ok, I've never taken a collection before..
Anyhoo. It happens to be the coldest doorway that I've ever had the misfortune to have to stand, smile and hand out programmes in. On the coldest, foggiest night in a couple of years.. (actually it wasn't the coldest but the fog made it seem so.. ) adn now.. I'm spluttering all over the place and want to go to bed but know that if I do I will have a less than sleepful night.. aand I said I would help out in the local coffee shop tomorrow.. Blast.

I moan too much don't I?

The Carol Service was AMAZING though.. Did anybody see that programme on BBC2, 'The Choir' ? You know, the school choir who got to the Choir Olympics in China despite being utterly woeful? Think Sister Act 2, without Whoopi and assorted nuns/monks and the astonishingly tuneful ending.. Yeah..

Hmm, you can tell this an attempt to keep me awake until a realtively normal hour to go and fall into bed can't you?
Maybe I'll go and draw something on inkscapey..

[insert a few minutes here]

aand there we go.. some time killed..

I was just wondering... you know the word 'thorough' ? well do you pronounce it 'thur-ah' or 'thur-oh' ?
just 'cos it sounded funny when someone said it on mythbusters earlier..

Mm I love Bright Eyes' version of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen..

I think I'll just fall over right here, right now.. This isn't going anywhere interesting for anybody...
and now my bro is calling me..

In the rough

Hmmmm 'lo..

Somedayayayayeah love will find me in the rough.. somedayayayeah love will finally be enough...
ahem, sorry.. I get carried away with the old songs..

I should really be listening to Christmess music shouldn't I? It being a week away and all....

BUM

I have no Christmas presents. And by that I mean I haven't bought any for anyone.. and actually, I haven't received any either but that's not the panic point..

That means I'm going to have to shop again doesn't it?

I dislike pressurized panic shopping.. here are a few reasons:
-> I end up buying impersonal shite. I hate giving people presents that don't mean anything. Hate it..
-> I get grumpy really easily, remember the sentiments expressed when I went shopping a month ago? Imagine that, tenfold.
-> To add to the grumpiness, shopping makes me hungry. Me + Hunger = GRUMPx10^26. I can't stress that enough.
-> I have to listen to the same Christmess songs over and over and over... none of them are ever the ones I even remotely like.
-> I end up feeling so far removed from joviality that I forget why I'm even doing Christmess.

But I will do it all anyway, because I would suck if I didn't.. Next year I think I will grab my family and whoever else wants to be grabbed (oi oi!) and go somewhere remote..

Anyhoo...

So yeah.. I was reading someone else's bloggg, and it was brought to my notice that there is some nifty little thing which churns out satistics about your webpage.. Now there is absolutely no point in me having one of these, there wouldn't really be anything to statistisize.. (? is that a word? It is now. why? because much like pure maths, I say so.. ) but I would like to have one regardless..
Except...
I can't work the javacode. Because I'm useless with it.. I did what it said.. but then Bloggy said I had to fix the error in the form.. Which I can't as I don't speak java.. I do drink it though.. but mentioning that probably wouldn't help..

so yeeaaaaaahhhhhhhh...

I'm going to meet my old Art teacher for coffee tomorrow morning.. Wheeeeee! I love 'Art trips'..
Ahem.
Yet again this has turned into something I didn't really intend it to.. So I'm just gonna stop..

~ Over and curled up inside..

hmm..

Once upon a time there was a girl..

Who had a blogger account..

but she never really knew what to say..

so she never really said much...

aaah... it's been a small while.. nothing major has happened.. went to cambridge for my interview, although I didn't die, I don't think I'll get any sort of offer.. did a physics mock.. got 55%.. oh dear.. ordered some albums from amazon because they very kindly gave me a 15% off music voucher.. and I really can't think of anything else interesting to talk about..

I had some good talk in school today, how sheep are evil, how some people assume irish people speak irish and scottish people, scottish... oh and how ridiculous that section 75 malarky is. and we talked about this new jack the ripper that's emerging...

now, gordon's kitchen nightmares is on...

Switch...?

yellow...

What's this about a new blogger that I should switch to?
I'm cagey about new versions...
And why does it need me to have a g-mail account?
I mean, I have one and everything.. but I don't use it much.. and why does bloggy want it?

Hmm.. I just had the weirdest mental vision of my blog being like Gollum.. "Bloggy wants the g-mail.. it is Bloggy's preeeccccioussssss"

Ahem.

Not quite sure how to recover from that little tangent..

Have a picture!

I'll probably have to remove that in a while.. Or else I'll end up tearing my own eyes out..

AAAAAAAAAAGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ::exclaim!:: ::exclaim!::

I have an interview this week...

I don't really do interviews... This voice of mine does not do well volume or clarity wise.. and there's all those 'um's, 'er's and the curséd 'like's ..kill me now =(
Oh and there's the small fact that I can't really think when asked.
Massacre me now..

but not actually.. cos that wouldn't be very nice =(

yeeeeeeees... I am going to go and relax by browsing the cyberweb mindlessly..

Shapping *dies*

hello..*cough, splutter, cough, cough*

It is Monday.
It is supposed to be new Incubus day.. but the postman clearly doesn't love me. *sniff*

Anyhooo...

I had an adventure on Saturgay.. I.. went... shopping... in Belfast...

*ping!*
Bad Idea!

Honestly, there should NOT be that many people in Belfast.. this is a miniscule country... where did they all crawl out from?
And it probably would have been fine, had half of the people not been wielding PRAMS. And you know what else bugs me? that most of the prams were EMPTY.
Why?!
Like, really.. what, woman, is possessing you to wander aimlessly around these narrows shops and streets with an oversized kid carrier? without a kid?
oh wait... is that him over there? yeah the one who has just dropped his drink? or how about that one, screaming that she has to have that Bratz™ doll?
And really, do you have to stand blocking one of the major aisles chatting to your friend who lives a few streets away?

As you may be able to tell.. I am rather embittered by my experience.. The day started well, had a good ole' 'chicken tikka and chilli cream cheese on a granary roll please' and it filled me up nicely. So I wasn't grumpy from hunger.. Got to the continental market.. couldn't find the churros.. *minor sadness* but then we hit the proper Belfast streets..

Topshop was ick.
River Island was even worse (it only has one floor so is way more pram-friendly)
Next was ok, once you got to the third floor (home dept.). We sat on the super-comfy display sofas for a while and I got some sexy black and white sheets...

So following this was way more having to stand for 5 mins trying to get past someone chatting to doreen from down the road. I mean.. ok.. if you want to chat that's fine.. but do it out of the way.. so that people like me, who just want in and out as quickly as possible (eey... pure mind now..) can do so..

But by the end of the day, I discovered that everything I needed to buy was much more available in a much less crowded place, much closer to home..

Bum.

So that's the bitterness over..

oh no wait..

I GOT SICK..

from shopping. yep. directly from the verb.

My throat was being all sore by the end of the day.. and now I'm all blocked up and scratchy throated and headachey..

Now I've finished being bitter..

Good monday anyone?

~Over and.. ow my throat.. =(

new, brand new..

mmmyaaay...

I gots me my shi-.. well, it's pretty matt actually, new brand new album in the post today ^_^
it's nice so far.. I'm liking it. I'm liking it a lot..

so today's happenings-

*Nearly weirded out for the second time in English this week.. explanation will follow..
*Started painting the set for the play.. it was fun.. 7 people in a small room with no windows and 6 open tins of paint.. fumes ahoy? oh yes.. they were ahoy alright..
*well jesus christ I'm alone again, so what did you do those three days you were dead? cos this problem's gonna last more than the weekend.. did I mention the brand new brand new? did you notice I enjoy repetitive phrases?
*I learnt how to figure out how much of the world there is.
*I ran out of brownies =(

Being Weirded Out In English
So we're reading The Rape Of The Lock at the moment.. which was good enough for starters.. but then yesterday we got to this bit about the Cave of Spleen..yes that's right,
The Cave of SPLEEN [I quite like the word spleen. It sounds good]
So in this cave, people have crazy hallucinations and think they're things they're not, eg. a goose pie. which is fair enough as is the line, ' And maids turn'd bottles'... BUT THEN..
you read on..
and the full line turns out to be:
"And maids turn'd bottles, call aloud for corks.'
Which.. may sound fine to innocents.. but my English Teacher then confirms that, yes, it IS innuendo.. And what's more it is intended innuendo.. Pope knew what he was doing when he put that in there.. not like 'nosegay'..
Shocking.

But wait! There's more!
Today..
we got to the bit where her hair has been raped, and she's all sad and decides to say,
'Oh hadst thou, cruel! been content to seize
Hairs less in sight, or any hairs but these'

Now, you may just be thinking.. as I told myself she must have meant, that she was talking about other hairs on her head..
Oh no..
No,
She wasn't.

...

uh huh...

So I get easily weirded out when books are actually saying the things I was thinking humorously to myself..

And with that badly retold story...

~Over and cut off Cap'n..

'Hey hey Mr. Hangman go get your rope..'

blood red

just another number of songs, arranged one after the other with no skill for you to listen to, if you choose..

Songs, arranged one after the other with no skill:
Coheed- Blood red summer (acoustic)
Josh Burnside - Whatyouknewcouldnot..
TV on the radio -Wolf like me
Black Bud- Heartbeat
The spill canvas - Polygraph! right now
Tegan und Sara - This is everything
Cursive - Art is hard
Silverchair - Without you
Harry Nillson - one is the loneliest number
Katie Melua - Crawling up a hill

So this working week ended with my formal.. it was good, just not the fairytale experience the hype surrounding it would have suggested. Drinks were costly, thank god for the champagne in the limo.. a FIVER for malibu/vodka and coke was a bit too much for my poor kid self.. I am used to £2 a drink thank-you-very-much.. aaand the cheapest bottle of wine was £16 and tasted £3 tesco quality...

Speaking of wine.. I am drinking some mighty fine kangaroo point cabernet merlot.. you drink it chilled and I like.. I like very much..

!HIGH FIVE!

but yes.. highlight of my formal night must have been me dancing barefoot in mynt.. and when I say dancing I really mean mocking the music and its associated style of dancing (big fish, little fish, cardboard box anybody?)

hmm.. that is all I can think of typing right now..

~ Under and in sir..

p.s. As a result of said formal, I now know how to disguise myself beyond recognition.. I just have to put my hair up and a dress on and !bam! not even the people who sit beside my in my classes recognise me.. MI6 here I come..score..

  • apart from that..
another thing which has brightened my day:
having an inspector in English.. You've heard what goes on (well no, you probably haven't listened but..meh) in my English class.. trying to be 'serious' was hilarious. especially when the word...

    ..wait for it...

i urge you to go get it..

    RIGHT NOW!!

or i'll send him after you...

in other news.. i found the ad on youtube that i previously couldn't.. the drinkin' and a-drivin' one.. where the car exploded through the fence...? yeah. here..

    Miserable Music in two parts..

yes so.. did everyone remember remember the 5th novemember, gunpowder, treason and plot?
i see no reason why it should be forgot but.. there might be a few out there who were preoccupied..

    Here's the scientific part...*loreal grin*

So I've felt a bit sad recently.. so I did what all norm-.. what all music geeks do (I hope) and made a wee playlist. except it turned into a 40 song long playlist. And as I have nothing of interest to talk about yet was bored enough to tackle audacity I turned the 40 song playlist into two 20 song music-cast things. And due to my recent sad state, the songs all have a wee bit of a sad side to them..
    So there we go...

    *loreal hair flick*

    listen*, because you're worth it..

Click here to get your own player.

*of course they're not actually up on podmatic yet..[podomatic doesn't like uploading one thing while audacity exports another] but they should be up in time for any lone wanderer who happens to be foolishly curious...

~Over and out, in, out, shake it all about... yeah! Now THAT's what it's all about!

so yes.. I was just a tad depressed today, so I grabbed a paintbrush to see what would happen..
here is the result in various stages (yaay pictures!!)

    *sniff*

    ahoy there...
I made a crappity podcast.. I think you can even hear my mucas talking. mmm.

so yes it is very rambley and not really about anything. at all. one day i'll have subject matter. one day....

and there are some long pauses. aaand the opening may be a little quiet. but hey ho..

Here is the Polysics video I give a little mention to:

I don't have a clue what's going on in it or the song, but I don't think I want to. Would spoil it.. perhaps.

Polysics - Electric Surfin' Go Go

Marilyn Manson - This is Hallowe'en
    The Arcade Fire - Maps
The Magic Numbers - Crazy In Love

    Misplaced day

    Cap'n.

"Would anybody who finds a misplaced Thursday please return it at once. Thank you."

So. I am confused. It is Friday today. Except it isn't, it's Thursday.
To explain my situation somewhat -
Tomorrow is the last day of school before half term. So it's a half day. But Fridays are always half days so the teachers who teach on Friday afternoons get really pissed off 'cos we always miss them.
    *Ah ha! Idea!*
Let's have Friday on a Thursday and Thursday on a Friday!

    Simple.
    Not.
It has messed my head up.. I now fully believe it is Friday. And am expecting QI, Have I Got News For You etc to be on and me not having to get up in the morning.
You'd think I could cope with this simple timetable change but nooo... And then there were other problems like, is first form assembly on? do I have mentoring this morning? do I have to do my prefect duty?
But all the notes in the roll books were fun- 'Would anyone involved in blah blah blah please come to room blah at blah on Thursday.. I mean Friday. On Thursday. Yes.'
So today I have lost a day.. As far as I'm concerned tomorrow is Saturday. But then I will have gained a day.

Would anybody else have this much of a problem over swapping a timetable round? probably not.

On a plusser side I overheard some good snippets of conversation today ^^

    *cough*

    yeeeoooo.....

i was really bored.. so created something really crap in audio form. i really am a complete muppet.
i'm hoping the player thing will update when i update..

    music:
    [mighty boosh]
new york pony club - the get go
    ash - burn baby burn
wolf parade - i'll believe in anything
cha' mone! - thriller [anybody see bo! in the usa btw??]
place-bo - running up that hill
    queen - bicycle
bonnie tyler - total eclipse of the heart
    stacie orrico - stuck

I talk about nothing this time.. i might take this down in a few hours/days and do a new one.. just for my own satisfaction.. *images of women with powertools doing completely pointless tasks come into head* aaaaggggh... what an annoying video.
    see?
that's an example of what my mind is doing to me tonight.. except that was actually of a higher standard than the rest.. ho hum...

    LDETH

So... today I sat the LNAT thing. [henceforth to be known as LDETH]
    It was horrible.

Thing is, I need it for 4 out of 6 uni choices (and I suspect the other 2 will have a wee peek at it too..)

    BUM

In other news, today is, was and will be wednesday. That means it's all downhill from here.
    *straps on rollerskates*
yes.. rollerskates.. nothin' else gutter buddies..

So basically, I've spent the last wee while doing American SAT/LSAT questions instead of my actual homeworks in the vain hope that they'd prepare me for the LDETH.. Those high school kids (or whoever takes SATs and stuff in America) get it easy(er) I tell ya..! But yeah, I haven't done any of my long term homeworks for the past while.. and they just so happen to ALL be due tomorrow..

    BALLS

So, of course, I am sitting here instead of doing binomial expansions (to the power of negative fractions and the like), essay plans and mock exhibition work.

    See the logic?
And that gentlepeeps is why I don't examine well..

    ~Over und out..

    Music:
yeah yeah yeahs - rich (live)
the postal service - there's never enough time
help she can't swim - are you feeling fashionable?
cursive - hymns for the heathen
emily haines - nothing and nowhere

    Friday, October 13, 2006

    Ahem...

    mo-jo...
so tonight, i decided that instead of watching have i got news for you, i would make some comedy of my own.. consisting of me trying to talk in a podcast. oh ho ho.. the hilarity.. here are some things i've learnt:
    - My voice is weird.. it does not sound the same in my head.
    - I repeat the same words over and over, in very quick succession.
    - I pause. And make facial expressions. Quite why I do this is unknown to me as micro-ho-phones don't record facial expressions.
    - I run out of things to say real quick.
    - I am quite Americanised.
    - I'm not very good at explaining things.
    - It is imppossible for me to follow a logical train of thought.
    - I'm not very good at talking. Verbal vomiting all over the keyboard..
    - Talking takes a long time.
    - I sound really kinda stupid.
    - I don't have good one sided conversation.

Music I used to try and divert attention from my waffling:
(bit of) The Mighty Boosh- Ep. 3 Jazz B
White Rose Movement - Love is a Number
    The Subways - Oh Yeah
Help She Can't Swim - What Would Morrissey Say?
Ash - Girl From Mars (or Ards)
The Motorettes - Go Go Gadget Girl
Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly - Whitewash is Brainwash
Flanders & Swann - The Gas Man Cometh
Emily Haines & the Soft Skeleton - The Last Page
The Wombats -Moving to New York

I did want to play some Patrick Wolf but seemingly, when I buy a song from iTunes, I don't actually buy the song itself.. so it doesn't like pimping itself onto podcasts..

and here are the adverts I talked about..
Don't forget your seat belt/ not to drink/ not to speed

    the northern irish one..

    the belgian one

    funny one

    freaky kid one

    oz not so graphic one

one that played in cinemas.. confused me til the end.

    recent UK one..

    and just because it's cool...

and I have a suspicion my computer may explode with me trying to post that lot..

so i'll let it try now..

    over and out sir

[edit] Okay so, that little kid isn't called Sarah, I clearly just made that up.. maybe because she looks like a sarah. who knows..
and it appears podomatic have nifty embedded players I didn't know about.. so now.. I should have some podcasts embedded somewhere..

    White rose movement

    *nods* Cap'n..

    thar she blows!

I don't quite know the meaning behind that piratey outburst..

    So it's a tuesday.
    'Why is it only Tuesday?'
'We have always have this conversation, every week you know.'
'Yeah.. that's because every week it's always only bloody Tuesday!'

That was a nice little bit of one of my conversations today..

I was gonna ramble about something... oh well. May as well ramble randomly as opposed to the scheduled programming..

I was sitting on youtube last night wondering what I could look up and I remembered someone telling me that N.Irish road safety ads are really harsh by other countries' standards... So I decided to have a wee looksee.. but I could only find the English/UK-wide ones, one American one, one Australian one and two French ones.. and I couldn't even find the whole range of N.I's ones.. =(
So I think I'm gonna investigate this further.. And if I ever fix my voice enough to be able to talk about it, I think I will.. A disproportionate amount of my knowledge and memory is spent on adverts, so I may as well talk about them sometime..

In other news, I am growing to dislike dynamics. Aaaaand... I just watched the first ep of Heroes and *whimper* I want more! I used to dream of having a superpower.. or discovering I had one.. and the colours in it are so pretty..

We watched a bit of the Age of Innocence in English today... it's weird... If I wasn't reading the book I'd be convinced it was a murder conspiracy (in fact.. I still think it might be).. Archer, Ellen and Letterblair all consorting darkly... giving knowing looks to each other.. and the strange, psychotic speech...

Sometimes I wonder why I can't really concentrate and looking back over this, it seems to be because my brain enjoys jumping around from one tangent to another... all day long...

I have a birthday card to make...

    so over and in cap'n..

    Music:
White rose movement - love is a number
Flyleaf - I can feel you all around me
    Silverchair - paint pastel princess
    lovers - Oh silent night
Beach boys - fun fun fun
Operation impact - attack of the emo robots
Camera obscura - shine like a new pin
    Lily Allen -Cheryl Tweedy
    Pete Murray - lines
    Aerosmith - pink
    The Dykeenies - dark time
White rose movement - idiot drugs

    Take 2

    mello....

so I decided to have another go making a little musical mix.. 'cos it's quite theraputic..
And without further ado.. here it is..

  • mm.. Tap dat mouse!

  • I was watchin' a movie on tv last night, it seemed really surreal.. there was Gwyneth Paltrow and Mike Myers and air hostesses..

    and Cleveland.

I think I was too asleep to make proper sense of it (if any were to be made).. like.. you know when you get a text in the middle of the night, and you manage to read it and understand it (and sometimes reply) but in the morning, you don't remember a thing, or if you do, are sure it was a dream? well that's how I feel about this film.. I'm feeling an urge to nip over to imdb but I have too many windows open.. I'll leave it to my wonder for a while..

According to podomatic I have 16 mins to wait before my thing is uploaded, and so 16 minutes to waffle. If it's an accurate timer.. And as it's just gone upto 23mins, I'm guessing it's not..

    So...
    Come here often?

    Rar..

AH! Ok, I shall vent about the most recent distraughtness I can think of..
On fritag, we found out that the Bar Mock Trial thingy is gonna be on saturday 18th nov. hmm.. yeah.. ok...

    no.

    wait..

    AAARHGHHAGTHAGHTAGHAD!!

Our formal is on the 17th!

-I am planning to be... rather off my face...
there's the formal, and then the after formal, dans mint til some early hour, and then breakfast.
-this does not bode well for turning up IN COURT at 9am and having to be all composed and barristery.

Although I have to admit, the thought of me turning up in my formal dress, smudgy makeup, pished, and trying to argue some cases in front of a proper judge is an amusing one..

    No?

Robin Hood started tonight, and I missed it. Ragin'!

This is taking aaages... but actually, I don't think it matters. so I'll just post this cos I don't think anyone looks..

    (±_±)

a pinch, punch, first of the month!

    (I think that's it anyway)

hmm.. I wonder if that's a well-known thing or just another excuse for my friends to assault me..
the current list is as follows:
It being the first of the month [pinch and punch]
    seeing a mini [nip]
    seeing a yellow car [slap]
seeing a yellow mini [nip and slap]
seeing a vintage car [flick on the nose]
saying I don't really get Lost (the tv programme, I get physically lost quite often) [hit]
saying that JT doesn't sound like JT on his latest song [free for all]

you know the one thing I hate about Sunday evenings? that Monday morning is right after them. I *really* don't like Monday mornings.. or Mondays in general. I think I dislike them even more than Bob Geldof does.. I don't hate them 'cos that would be mean.. and really, it's just because Monday happens to be after the weekend nothing else..

and with that.. I'm gonna go and make myself some cocoa and mutter bitterly about having to wake up to a whole new week..
